What’s the job?

As General Ledger Lead, you will be responsible for processing general accounting for multi-sites including payroll and tax to comply with internal control obligations and local requirements. You will work with both our Prague and Renens offices and report to our Finance Director.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a bookkeeper for accounting transactions related to all sub-ledgers, such as banks, fixed assets, accounts receivable, inventory, and other assets.
• Performing monthly closing activities for the general ledger, including P&L analysis, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and preparing financial statements according to corporate templates.
• Acting as a business partner for our Prague and Renens offices, providing financial support and analysis to other departments and teams.
• Participating in budget and forecast processes and supporting ongoing projects, such as the implementation of a new ERP system, internal control processes, and other initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations and working closely with external consultants and tax advisors.
• Processing payroll maintenance, social and tax declarations, and supporting internal and external audits.
• Performing ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support decision-making.

About you

To be successful in this role as General Ledger Lead, you should have at least 4-5 years of experience in accounting and be fluent in English, with French being a plus. You should also be willing to travel occasionally to our offices in Switzerland. Experience in industry will be an added advantage.

Required skills & experience.

• Accounting expertise: Specialist knowledge of accounting principles, including experience in bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and financial reporting.
• Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision in data entry, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Communication skills: Excellent ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to different departments and teams across different locations and time zones.Analytical thinking: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop insights.
• Team player: Collaborative and supportive approach to working closely with other members of the finance team, external advisors, and other departments to achieve common goals.

Preferred Skills.

• Specific experience in logistics or manufacturing is considered a plus.
• Additional language skills would be a bonus, especially French.
